In its second year since Arwyp took over the sponsorship of the race, the Arwyp Medical Centre Nite Race was held on Wednesday 25 January 2012 at the Barnard Stadium in Kempton Park. Arwyp sponsors the event in its quest to raise awareness amongst its staff and the Kempton Park community of the importance of healthy living and an active lifestyle.
A final field of 1 400 runners took part in the 15km run and 1 600 runners and walkers completed the 5km fun run. A free Arwyp drawstring ‘goody’ bag, which included an Arwyp T-shirt and a lanyard, was given to the first thousand runners who entered the 15km event. The prize of a computer was won by Edleen Laerskool for having the most 5km finishers.
