Catering

The careful and imaginative preparation of food is always important, but becomes even more so if you or your family are sick in hospital. Patients admitted to Arwyp Medical Centre need not be concerned about special dietary requirements.
Our registered dietician works closely with specialists and doctors associated with the Arwyp Medical Centre to ensure that all patients’ food needs are met.
In particular, patients who are prescribed specialist diets such as low-fat, diabetic or high Glycaemic Index diets are carefully monitored and where necessary, educated about their food intake requirements. We also ensure that lactating mothers are provided with the right foods.
The medical centre is equipped to meet the needs of patients who follow kosher and halal diets while they are being cared for in our hospital. The catering manager is mandated to order food from specialist suppliers that adhere to the strictest kosher or halal requirements. In addition, the kitchens have specialist kosher and halal foods in stock for routine use.
